Burn wave is made in a super thin and delicate french terry jersey fabric. On the backside you will see characteristic very fine loops, creating the subtle waffle texture on the fabric face. We have added a small blue thread in the knit process to underline the waffled wavy look.
50 years ago denmark was a massive producer of knitwear and among the best in the world. Nowadays there are only a few machines left and even fewer people who understand how to operate them. We managed to team up with a very small artisan factory, where the owner Ole is the knitting expert with more than 40 years of experience in making magnificent knits on these machines. For this collection we have made the Reef knit in two colours together with Ole. Reef knit is made of 50% linen and 50% cotton and spun to perfection with focus on tension. both knit has the mercer- ized cotton backside in respectively navy and storm grey and a light grey linen surface. This both creates a comforta- ble wearability but also a beautiful shading of the colors.
A very fine drapy fabric in a jaquard weave has been chosen to make our Grit Linen Indigo shirt. Great blend of cotton and linen makes it a perfect match for a spring shirt. The yarns are indigo dyed, which gives a beautiful fade after the 30 minute enzyme stone wash given to the shirt.
This fabric is renowned for its silky touch and very fine thread count, still the touch is cool and crisp. These prints are from The Artist collection, charachterized by loads of personality and joy. We have worked with Liberty fabrics ever since we started and love both the level of innovation and the history of this house.
